Serial Scout uses computer vision to detect serial numbers from eBay listing photos, including listings where sellers don’t mention the serial number. While detection is usually accurate, image quality and other factors can result in an incorrect serial number. Always confirm the serial number using the seller’s photos, or contact the seller if you’re unsure, before making a purchase.

Cards numbered 4/X are the 4th copy produced of their parallel print run. The 4 numerator stays the same across every set and parallel, but the denominator (the X) changes: a 4/99 is the 4th of 99, a 4/25 is the 4th of 25, and so on. Collectors who care about the 4 stamp rather than a specific print run can browse them all here.
For a specific print run, see the combo pages linked above. For broader context on what serial numbers mean, see our guide to serial-numbered sports cards.
A card numbered 4/X is the 4th copy out of its parallel's print run, where X varies by set and parallel. A 4/99 is the 4th of 99, a 4/25 is the 4th of 25, and so on. The /X notation is collector shorthand for "of any print run."
Collectors hunt 4/X cards for a range of reasons: it might match a jersey number, a birthday day, a card number, or simply be a numerator they collect across all parallels. Each 4/X copy is one-of-one for its specific print run.
For any given parallel, the 4/X copy is one-of-one — only one card in the world carries that exact stamp for that print run. Across all sets and parallels combined, 4/X copies exist in larger total numbers because thousands of different cards are produced each year, but each individual 4/X card is unique.
eBay's title search misses most 4/X cards because sellers rarely include the exact serial in the listing title. Serial Scout reads serial numbers from listing images and lets you filter by exact numerator. This page shows active listings with a numerator of 4, across all print runs.
